About Atticus

This strikingly handsome green eyed mini panther is Atticus, an approximately eight year old Maine Coon/Domestic Mix. Atticus is neutered, tested negative for feline leukemia and feline immunodeficiency virus, vaccinated for distemper and rabies and microchipped. He is absolute best buddies with another of my rescue kitty, a petite short haired older gal named Matilda, fondly known as Mats, and Atticus would love to find a human that would adopt both he and his buddy Mats as a bonded pair. The two are inseparable; always snuggled together and often gazing into one another's eyes. I took Atticus in as a rescue in October of 2013. A local Realtor trapped him after being told by neighbors that people were spraying him with water and turning a leaf blower on him. The other kitty he was brought in with had cigarette burns on his head. When the office manager at my vet's office begged me to take Atticus in so that he would be euthanize, I did so. He is a big guy with long legs and a long body. Atticus will perform zoomies and plays with toys. Whenever I sit down to watch television in his rescue room he immediately jumps up in the chair with me and curls up either beside me or in my lap and demands pets so much so that if I stop petting him he politely taps my hand with his paw to let me know that he needs more pets/attention. While he will most likely be a little shy in his new home as he adjusts to his new digs, I am confident that he will warm up and engage as he does with me.
