About Blu

Meet Blu! Blu might look like a familiar face and sadly that's because he is. Blu has had a roller coaster ride in his short time on Earth and he is looking for the perfect, permanent place to call his forever home. Blu is the sweetest, happiest boy who loves everyone, but he will need just the right home to make sure he is happy ever after. Blu is a 9 month old terrier mix puppy, but he is not hypoallergenic and will shed. Blu originally came from the Humane Society of Yuma where he was found wandering the streets blind with another dog at only 4 months old. Blu was brought to AZSDR and taken to a loving foster home. He was adopted once and brought back a few months later due to the pandemic. His foster mom quickly picked him back up, but since Blu has been adopted again and returned almost immediately due to allergies in his new family. Blu is looking for a family with other playful dogs who can handle his energy and playfulness. Blu wants to be best friends with everyone, so he can be a bit too much for petite or older dogs. Blu will absolutely need other dogs in his home as he follows the dogs in his homes to learn his routine and gets the most joy from wrestling with another dog. Blu is good with cats, but may occasionally try to play. He is great with kids who understand that he can not see them, but is still young and blind so he will knock over youngsters accidentally. Blu is mostly house broken and does his business outside, but doesn't alert to go out so he needs let out regularly. He is fully kennel trained. He will need a home with a yard, no apartments please. Blu is a good boy but he is still a young and ornery puppy who will need some guidance and training. He will need to be fed separately from other pets until he understands that others will eat around him and not take his food, but currently he gets very protective while eating. Blu is a super happy boy who just loves his people to piece and is always ready to play or snuggle. Blu is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped and vet checked.
