About Maxine

'Folks, get ready to hear about the greatest cat that there ever was. Hello! My name is Maxine and I'm a 7-8 year old kitty that was surrendered to SVASC because my previous owner was no longer able to care for me. I was pretty upset, but I've been making myself right at home with my foster mom until my furever home comes along. My foster mom says that I'm a super sweet girl, but you have to get to know me first. I do take some time to warm up and spent the first couple of days in my foster home hiding from everyone, but with some time, I've started to come around. I love to be pet and beg for attention; I even let my foster mama hold me, when I'm feeling like it. I do like attention on my own terms though and can get overwhelmed quickly, so take things slow and go at my speed. I have always been an only kitty, so I would like a home where I can be queen of the castle and not have to share my people with any other animals. I would also do best in a home without any kids younger that teenagers, please. My adoption fee is $35 to an approved adopter. I'm currently waiting for a home with a foster, so I'm not at SVASC.
