About NEWTON AND NORA

Nora and Newton have been together forever. They've held on to each other when everyone else failed them. When they were strays on their own, when they ended up on death row and when they were adopted and then dumped on a rural road in Ga. They depend on each other every day. Nora and Newton do everything together - play, cuddle, sleep on one another, share food, run and walk side by side, rely on one another and feel safe when the other is there. He takes care of her and makes sure she gets her food and treats first. Maybe he senses that Nora has a slight handicap. Her back foot was supposedly taken off by a lawn mower accident years ago. It doesn't seem to bother her nor slow her down. She does fine with Newton to watch over her. Both are good with older children. Nora and Newton come fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Newton is a 3-year-old male golden retriever mix who has had a rough start. He has some scars on his face, but they do not diminish how handsome he is. He is as sweet and docile as they come. He rides well in a car, does well on a leash. Ace loves getting affection and loves getting treats. He looks after Nora daily. They stay together even when outdoors. Nora is the sweetest 4.5-year-old silver pit mix. She is missing part of her back-right foot due to a supposed run in with a lawnmower years ago. This setback hasn't slowed her down a bit. She runs and plays like any other dog and walks well on a leash despite her missing foot. Nora rides well in a vehicle, knows some commands and is gentle when taking treats. She is good with some other dogs and LOVES belly rubs. She tolerates cats, but they are not her favorite.
