About Alafair19

Some kitties just get a hard start in life, but in the end, things work out! Alafair is one of those kitties. At 6 weeks, she was discovered in the drain at the Bojangles in Louisburg. To get her out, the fire department literally had to wash her into the net we had set to grab her. Cold, wet, terrified, it was the worst day of her life - and the best! She now had a chance! But, things needed more time to work out. Alafair developed some weird allergies. They never affected her health, but her fur! Sometimes she sported a mohawk where the only fur was straight down her back. Other times she was naked except for furry boots and fur on the tip of her tail. Then there were the times she had a ruff around her neck and fur on her tail, but you guessed it - no hair anywhere else. After much vet care, special foods, etc., she seemed to have outgrown all of it, and today she is fine with no strange hair arrangements! She eats no special foods, and is a very healthy and happy girl. Alafair would love so much to have a home of her own. She would not do well with a busy family, is afraid of dogs, but is great with male cats - she likes the boys better than the girls, but she is ok with either. She loves so much to be petted and will sit in your lap and lay her head on your shoulder. She has been in her foster home for quite a while, so it will take her a bit to settle in to a new home, but she is not shy or scared. She is so sweet and just wants to cuddle in at night, be able to be with her person, and to be safe and loved for the rest of her life. After such a rocky beginning, surely it's her turn to have her own person and a wonderful life!
