Go big or go home, that's my motto! I'm Dax, and I'm all in when it comes to most things in life, especially playing and napping. I like to run, romp, and chase things in the backyard. Then I'll power down for a good snuggle session on the couch. I'll do almost anything for a treat or a Kong filled with peanut butter, especially show you one of my favorite tricks - sit, stay, and shake. Do you love hugs? Great! I give the best, biggest hugs! I can be picky with my canine friends and sometimes I get so excited that I forget how big I am, so I may do best in a home without other dogs or with more laid-back pups. I also need to live in a home without cats or younger kiddos. Don't worry - I'm crate trained, but also responsible when given free rein of the house. I'm just looking for a forever home where I can relax and be with my people! I also am not the most polite pup on leash yet and since I'm a BIG boy, that can be a lot for someone to handle. I get worked up when I see other dogs, which is because I am just overly excited but it comes off as not very nice. So due to that, I need an adopter who has some strong arms, a strong core, and a lot of love and patience to help me learn better leash manners. I don't think I'd do well in an apartment since I'd be walking past lots of other dogs in that environment, which may be stressful for you and me both. I would love a nice backyard!
