About Kyra

Kyra was rescued from Afghanistan as a pup and brought back to the states to be rehabilitated by me, then reconnected with the man who rescued the entire litter from a building that was to be demolished. When the fella returned to the states he decided that he could not take her on and so I have had her for 8 years. She came to me at about 5-6 months of age and was a basket case. She is now mostly calm and a very cute, loving and even affectionate dog, but is still fearful of strangers and other dogs and if threatened, could bite. She is well trained and smart. I have managed to give her a good home and she enjoyed having two Labrador sisters that I have already adopted out... I am giving up my home to move across the country and cannot keep any of my dogs. Although she has had some contact with other dogs, she generally is not trusting of other dogs and therefore may need to be placed in a home with no other dogs or animals. She would be a great, loyal companion to the right owner. Trust is an issue for her and children scare her, as they are unpredictable and move too fast! She barks at loud noises, but is NOT a constant barker. Kyra deserves a chance, but I need help fast... my home is on the market and I have to place her ASAP. Please help. Thank you.
