About Lowrider Louie

BEEP! BEEP! Watch out! Lowrider Louie is cruising through the rescue looking for his forever best friend. He is a goofy sized 5 year old boy that weighs 35 pounds full grown. Louie is a short Shepherd officially called a German Shepherd/Basset Hound mix. He is a VERY food motivated boy that will need to get over a few bumps in his new home. Louie drove in to AZSDR because he can be food aggressive and will need a pack leader that can help him tune up his resource guarding. He is a friendly boy who likes to go at his own pace on friend freeway. Louie has done well with adults but has not been around children. He needs a home with no young children but may do well with teens that will stay out of his lane and cruise at his own pace. Louie has done well with passive dogs of all sizes but will need to meet any potential canine companions prior to adoption. He was originally towed into County as a stray and may require house training as he settles in. Louie does know how to sit and occasionally will use his hydraulics when motivated! He would do best in a home with a securely fenced backyard to explore with his new wheels in life. Lowrider Louie can't wait to cruise around with his favorite passengers listening to The Temptations and O'Jays! No apartments or rentals with breed or weight restrictions. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee is $220 which includes a free vet visit. Please understand until further notice there will be 10 clients allowed in the building at once to continue social distancing practices.
