About Panda

Adoption Fee: $400
Lab mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

Mya and Panda will be coming from Mexico in mid-June we are asking for foster homes first because we want them to be able to decompress. They have been with the same family and their siblings, Tigger for the last 6 months. So we can do a foster to adopt, but not a straight adoption. He will need time to adjust to his new environment and home. If you are interested in a foster to adopt potential please complete our foster application at www.gunterslegacy.org/foster.Mya and Panda they do not have to be adopted together. Mya and Panda (spayed and utd on vax) will be arriving in Northern California around mid-June. Our hope is to find a reputable rescue to take them in. Please contact Lori Perry at [email protected] for more info. Mya and Panda are considered 'Pure Mexican Street Dog'. They were abandoned and left to fend for themselves on the streets when they were about three months old. They were found emaciated and in street survival mode by friendly neighbors. PAWS Mulege took care of health checks, vaccinations and both girls have been spayed. Mya and Panda are now nine months old and they both weigh around 30 lbs. They have had some leash training but will need more work on that. They know 'sit', 'lay down', and 'come' in English as well as some hand commands. Mya and Panda are both sweet tempered although Mya is a bit more stubborn than Panda will relent for treats and cuddles. They both enjoy playing with rope toys and other dogs. We do not know how either of them is with cats or other animals. Children six or older would be a good fit. Both dogs sleep in their own beds, indoors at night, and will need a securely fenced yard. NEEDS A FOSTER Mya and Panda's foster mom shared this with us: 'One of their favorite nighttime rituals is, when I go to bed, I touch their faces, and stroke their sides and tell them 'night, night, bedtime'. Tails are wagging and they are so excited to be next in line.'
