About Diesel

5 year old male Chiweenie, about 12 pounds. Introducing Diesel; very affectionate middle-aged doxie mix. This ultimate lap dog loves to snuggle up and snooze. Quickly getting the hang of going on walks. Family friendly, but will need a warming up period. Fine with other dogs, but doesn't like surprises and won't be dominated. Making progress with sleeping in his crate and enjoys snuffling along in the backyard. Very active, but stairs are a bit tricky. Would do best with an owner who is home most off the day. Good with other dogs and respectful older children. Take more time to warm up to men than women. Gets very bonded to the female of the house. Adoption contract and fee applies. Smidget Rescue is not a shelter, and dogs cannot be seen at the Rescue location. All dogs are fostered throughout the Puget Sound area and are brought to the events where they can be met by prospective adopters. If your home seems like a great fit for the dog you would like to adopt, you must then drive to meet the dog at one of our weekend events or at the fosters home.
