About Sophie

Sophie will be six this June. She has always been an only dog in a quiet home thus, she would do best in a quiet and relaxed home. She does not bark much except when she needs food, to go out, wake me up, or she is alerting me. She does not do well with kids or screaming but has done well with preteens who are laid back and quiet. She is a cuddler! I stopped taking her to dog parks and group plays because she ignores dogs and wont play. Her daycare noticed the same, she wants to cuddle not play with other dogs. If you say leave it, she will leave a dog alone if it comes to her 5 out of 6 times. Loves to learn tricks, wave, high five, push light, etc. she had been through a number of trainings. She will wait for me to settle in before greeting me when I arrive home and she will sit and allow you to move her food or serve her. She will wait at the door to go out. On another note, she will huff at you, ignore you While she watches from her side eye and even do a bark if you fuss at her, telling her no as if she is arguing back. She is a bit dramatic at times and has a bit of an attitude.. She is trained to both crate (likes smaller spaces) and home, stays out all day with free range of home and has no problems. She is leery of hands randomly swinging, so hands in her face or staring at her will cause her to grawl. She is protective. A confident owner would be good for her as she is dominate yet just wants to please you. Health: she has a white membrane star in one eye that may cause trouble shifting from light to dark seamlessly or when seeing shadows.
