About Odin

Adoption Fee: $275
Border Collie / Rat Terrier
Age: Senior
Sex: Male

Odin is a charming and distinguished senior gentleman looking for a loving home! This sweet old man was rescued from an animal control facility in Kentucky and has found his way to a loving foster home in Chicago while he waits to meet his forever family. Odin was originally found as a stray so not much is known about his background. He appears to be a Border Collie/Terrier mix and weighs in around 35 pounds so a nice medium size. He is a senior, estimated to be at least 8-10 years old. He is friendly, affectionate and loves to give kisses. Despite being a senior, he is still quite spry and has a lot of pep in his step. He is very curious loves to explore and go for long walks and still loves to play. He is crate trained and does well with his housebreaking when kept on a regular schedule. Odin still has a lot of love to give and we'd be so thrilled to find him the home of his dreams to spend his golden years in. He doesn't ask for much, just a warm comfy bed, a few walks a day and lots of cuddles! He is currently being fostered with several other dogs and gets along well in the pack but he'd probably do best as the only male dog in the home. Due to COVID-19, many of our veterinarians have restricted access to non-emergency services. As a result, we have not been able to have some of our dogs spayed/neutered prior to placing them in fosters, including Odin. With many other shelters and rescues closing down, we want and need, to continue to save lives. For a limited time, intact dogs may be available to adopt on a foster-to-adopt basis, dependent on the adopter's location and ability to travel to our partner clinics when they are fully operational. For this reason, we are only considering local adoptions for Gerry (Chicagoland area/neighboring states) with the understanding he will need to be returned to Pal's Place for his neuter when our partner clinics resume full operation. Odin's adoption fee is $275. This fee covers the cost of his neuter, vaccines, microchip, and initial de-worming. Odin is currently in a foster home in Chicago and can be seen by appointment once an application has been received and approved.
