About Tater Tot

Adoption Fee: $100
Chihuahua
Age: Senior
Sex: Male

Meet Tater Tot This adorable boy, Tater Tot, was found by an awesome lady. To make sure he didn't have an owner, he was taken to Animal Control. When his hold was up, because no one came for him, we rescued him from AC as fast as we possibly could. He was initially found wandering looking lost and confused and hurt. He arrived on May 21, 2020. Tater Tot is a senior boy at about ten years old. He's a Chihuahua, weighing about eight pounds. Tater Tot was obviously not well taken care of in his life. When we got him it looked as if he had a bad hip, but NOOOOO, it was a toenail that had grown into the bottom of his paw. Do you know how painful that is? And to think he was out there all alone not able to walk well and in great pain trying to fend for himself. If that wasn't enough, this little guy suffers from dry eye. We don't think he's completely blind, but dry eyes are horribly painful and can distort vision. Oh how Tater Tot must have suffered. BUT in spite of all that, Tater Tot is one of the sweetest dogs we've met. He loves everyone and everything - people, dogs and cats. He's just a tiny love bug with a heart of gold. Tater Tot walks well on a leash, but he loves to be held. He just radiates with joy and he seems so grateful to know that he's safe and loved. Tater Tot will make for a great companion. He's the type of dog that becomes the apple of your eye and best buddy. If you're looking for an older boy, who just wants to snuggle on the couch, snooze on your porch or lay with you by a cozy fire Tater Tot is the dog for you. He may be ten, but he has a lot of life to live and love to give. Don't let his age fool you. It's what makes him so special. Tater Tot has quickly become a shelter favorite. He's a wise dog that makes everyone feel good when they meet him. If you're looking for an awesome older dog to welcome to your home, get your application in. Tater Tot is one-of-a-kind! Tater Tot will be neutered, fully vetted and micro-chipped before going home. Call 706-865-4135 for information on additional health services provided as part of the adoption fee.
