About Iris

**ADOPTION PENDING***** GOING TO NEW HOME IN A COUPLE WEEKS. LISTING WILL STAY UP TILL FINAL PLACEMENT!!****Iris is a 5yr old (10/09/14) spayed, Maltese Mix. She is being rehomed by her current owner due to needing more individualized attention and training. She has reactivity and aggression issues; she has a bite history on people and other animals. We are ideally looking for a home with no children, and where she will be the only pet. She is currently still in the care of her owner, not a rescue, so the process may not go as smoothly as a shelter adoption. We are doing our very best to ensure a good match for her. *Paperwork for adopting IRIS includes an Adoption Agreement and a Release of Liability agreement. She needs a home committed to keeping up her training and committed to undertaking a 'project' or 'rehab' dog. When contacting, please be advised that, along with an expanded bio, I will also be sending over a link to the adoption application. Due to the high volume of applications, there is now a 7-10 day application processing time. Applications that are considered to be a possible good fit will be further processed, such as a phone interview, on a first come, first serve basis. The entire adoption process will take at least three weeks and also requires an In-Home meet and greet as well as checking any vet, trainer, and groomer references, so if you are looking to have placement sooner, we ask that you consider other options.
