About Harley

Poodle / Dandie Dinmont Terrier
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

**PLEASE READ HARLEY'S BIO THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING. ALL REQUIREMENTS MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED.** Meet Harley, our handsome 2 1/2 year old, 18lb male Poodle/Dandie Dinmont mix. This stunning pup came to us as an owner surrender when they felt they didn't have the time for him anymore. No worries, because Harley is safe with us and with a loving foster dad who takes the best care of him ever! Harley is a boy with some energy, so we are only looking for an active home that will take him on walks, runs, hikes, and throw the ball to him and play fetch. He CANNOT go into a sedentary type home. He is a dog that needs a home with a safe and enclosed backyard where he can play. He cannot be an apartment or condo type dog. Harley gets along great with dogs his size or smaller, but has some issues with dogs bigger than him. Harley would love a home with another playful dog (must be his size or smaller) that he can grow with and become best buddies, or we would consider him as an only dog, ONLY if he has owners that are home most of the day and can devote the attention and playtime he needs and loves, for instance tossing the tennis ball to him and playing fetch. He seems to be getting the hang of his potty training, but we never guarantee it with rescue dogs. He is not always on the go 24/7 with energy, he also enjoys his naps during the day! Harley would be good with older children preferably 12 years old or older. We are only looking for owners that are not gone long hours during the day or preferably work from home. Harley has been through a lot in his short life and so we want his forever home to be that extra special! WE ONLY ADOPT IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA AS A HOME CHECK AND TRIAL PERIOD ARE REQUIRED. ***If you meet all the requirements listed above for Harley, you may fill out an application and email it back (Info below). We will contact those that could be a possibility.** applications can be found at: theforgottendog.org email back to: [email protected] any questions contact: 310-990-2020
