About Deak

Deak is very cuddly,loving and wants to sleep on your bed, We rescued him from a bad situation 3 months ago.Because of his last home he is very defensive when it comes to other dogs and children.Deak will stay by your side defend you and your home, he should be in a large fenced yard and loves to swim.Our other dog just discovered puberty and is wanting to prove himself as an Alpha male so the war is on but Deak is faster and outweighs him by 20 pounds and needs a forever home where he is the only dog. Deak is extremely active, loves to chase squirrels and magpies and loves to wander our entire fenced property of 1+acres. we hoped that he would be a good companion for our Aussie but it is not working out as we had hoped. All in all Deak is a people lover and wants to follow you anywhere, he also has had some professional obedience training and graduated but needs to be reminded at times.We haven't done a DNA test but he appears purebred.He needs a forever home with a fully fenced yard, no children maybe just not good with younger than ten, definitely can NOT be in a home with other dogs.His favorite hobby is counter surfing for snacks and he can destroy most toys or sticks. Deak needs lots of love and attention or he will not be a happy family member. he is house broken and has not been destructive in the house. He is a dog who will not be happy if kept outside unless he is with you, he wants to be at your side unless he sees a suqirrel.
