About Pixie - PENDING

Adoption Fee: $375
Lab / German Shepherd
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

We'd like to introduce Pixie! This bundle of sweetness is about 5 months old and weighs 24 lbs. She is housebroken, crate trained and sleeps right through the night in her VT foster home. From Pixie's foster mom: 'Pixie knows, Sit, Shake (mirrors which hand you give), Lay down, Spin, and Stand. Her favorite thing to do is to snuggle. She also likes to chew on her Nylabones, sit outside and watch the neighborhood boys ride their bikes, play with the neighbor's dog, and eat ice cubes.' Pixie enjoys playing with other dogs. She is very affectionate and absolutely loves to snuggle! She's a smart puppy and will thrive in a home where her people can devote the time to exercise her mind & body. We highly recommend basic/entry level puppy classes for all of our pups to get everyone off to a great start. Trainers are offering in-person and online classes. Socialization is an essential part of raising a well rounded pup. With COVID restrictions, it can be hard to find opportunities for your pup to be exposed to new situations. This new article provides great ideas! We do not provide DNA testing which is the only way to know with certainty which breeds are in her genetic background. Our best guess is that she is a Shepherd mix. We expect her to reach 50-55 lbs as an adult, but we can not guarantee size at maturity. Highlights about Pixie: - Housebroken - Crate trained - Enjoys playing with other dogs - Super smart - Friendly, Affectionate, Playful - Sleeps through the night in the crate or bed - Loves to cuddle - Up-to-date on vaccines - Has not been spayed yet* * Based on current veterinary recommendations, she has not been spayed due to her young age. We do require proof of this procedure at a later date as part of the terms of our Adoption Agreement. Please discuss the correct time for this to be done with your veterinarian. We can provide a $75 rebate once the procedure is completed. Low cost clinics are listed here. Our adoption fee is $375 which includes age appropriate vaccines (such as Distemper, Bordetella, Parvo, Rabies), worming, micro-chipping, and health exam. Discount vouchers for training, grooming and similar dog related products and services are provided.
