About Britta

***Adoption Pending*** Britta is a beautiful 1 yr old female shepherd. She is definitely a people dog and would love to have a family who will keep her active and her brain occupied. She likes other dogs but does not understand how to play with boundaries so being an only dog would be best or would consider one other with experienced owner who is able to continue teaching her dog manners. Current dog would need to be very tolerant. She does okay with cats in the home but may chase outside if they run. She is fine with kids and loves people. She listen well and walks well on a leash with just her but doesn't listen well if other dogs are around. Crate trained but does not destroy anything if left out so far. She would need someone who understands the breed and would continue basic training. Her foster mom thinks she would accelerate in dog sports but is not a good fit for therapy dog and needs an outlet for energy. A running partner would be awesome! A fenced in yard is required. Britta is spayed, UTD on vacc., micrchipped, and kept on monthly flea/tick/hw prevention. To apply to adopt visit www.handsofhoperescue.com/adoptapp. No phone calls please. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dogs foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. This dog is fostered in Kansas City, KS and adopter must drive to pick up. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter.
