About Leighla

Blondes do have more fun! Well, at least this one does! Leighla is a young, active Shepherd/Malinois mix. She is a super smart girl on the go. She enjoys car rides, especially when they lead to the park or the closest hiking trail. She also happens to be great on the leash! She is friendly to other dogs and people she meets in her travels, and especially loves children aged 10 and older. When at home, she stays on high alert and is diligent about warning you of approaching strangers, but is otherwise a quiet girl. Her breed and intelligence will require an active family and one that can keep her mentally stimulated. Another dog is a must also, along with a fenced yard or regular walks. She is a little skittish at first meeting and is nervous around fast hand movements. She is just now learning what dog toys are ��%BD��%BD%BD'��%BD��%BD%BD| but she is a quick study, so she'll be having fun with those in no time. She is mostly house-trained as long as you keep her on a regular schedule (no longer the 6 hours between potty breaks). She is also heartworm positive but we will pay for treatment.
