About Phoebe

Medical afopter needed Poor Pheebs! Help us help her! There is nothing worse than the feeling of not knowing what is wrong, not being able to take the pain away and not being able to help. We don't know what's wrong with Pheebs. Phoebe's broken bones seem to be on the mend, but she still has a bit of neurological damage because of the spinal contusion and an unknown internal issue which is causing continued blood in her urine. This is scary! Phoebe's spirit is soaring, we have fallen head over heels in love. This is the best dog on the planet. Her sweet gentle Dane snuggles and Lab kisses make us melt. Phoebe feels safe, she's loved, she loves her ball, her people and her furry friends in her foster home. When a good citizen found Phoebe and we took her to the vet for surgery she had a spinal contusion, a broken pelvis and a cracked sacram. She's been progressing wonderfully with her movement and it seems her injuries have been healing. Phoebe has been on a pain management plan and has had many trips to the vet for ultra sounds etc. We are off to Pet Care to an internal specialist this weekend to try to come up with some kind of diagnosis. We are terrified at what we might find, but we are committed to doing the best by our sweet girl. She quite possibly may need an MRI or a CT to find answers. We just can't give up on this girl!
