About Daphne

Location: Pearland, TX; Age: 3 yrs; Daphne is a sweet 95 lb velcro Dane. She is still learning how to be a household dog and interact with humans. She has been working on her manners and is very smart. She has learned sit, down, and is working on responding to her name and recall. Daphne is a little scared of putting a leash on but is great walking on leash. She is currently living with a teen and 10-year-old, but she is not comfortable around them. She would be in heaven living with single woman or couple. She is super chill, she will snuggle up right next to her foster mom in every room. She is learning that being a dog can be fun and has started playing with a squeaky ball. Daphne has a high prey drive and should be the ONLY animal in the house. She grew up outside with 9 other Danes, but we are not sure how she will react. She will go into a kennel with persuasion and is fine once in place. She had never lived inside before so every experience is new to her and she approaches everything with a bit of caution. Daphne is very protective of her foster mom and will bark if she feels her mom might be in danger, but is learning to loosen up.
