Courtesy Posting: Sweet senior chow mix Kira who was badly neglected and had to be confiscated from her owner due to utter neglect, her BFF died because of the neglect, who can help? KIRA - A321091 Sacramento City Shelter, Sacramento, CA Sweet senior Kira and her BFF Bear, both senior chow mixes, were found in deplorable living conditions, and just confiscated by the Sacramento City Shelter. Sadly, Bear was in such bad condition, laying in feces for days with open wounds, that he had to be put to sleep. Kira thankfully is okay, but is now in need of immediate rescue. She is approximately 12 years old and has been sweet with people and other dogs since she has come into the shelter. While she has some age related medical issues such moderate tartar and not seeing too well, we have lots of video of her and she actually moves around really good! Kira weighs 47.5 lbs and has a thick lovely brindle coat. We are looking for a foster or foster to adopt to pair with a rescue to save her.
