Our Ty has had a difficult start. Rescued from a local shelter, Ty was surrendered because he was unsocialized, untrained and afraid to trust strangers. On the day he was rescued, a volunteer calming told our Ty he was safe and walk a very willing and grateful dog out to the car. Ty is able to bond with new people over time. He has worked on walking on a leash and the command sit. But he will need further obedience training and a family able to give him the love and attention he so badly needs. Boundaries are a must as this is an active, playful dog. Jogging, flyball, agility are some of the activities that might hold his interest and provide much needed activity for his high energy level. We are confident the right match is out there for this young dog. We are looking for an experienced big dog home. No toddlers or other dogs would be best. Children over 12 years of age would work best. Ty is distrustful of strangers so a home where his contact is controlled, supervised and limited to any strangers is a most. Secure home and yard also a must. A commitment to further training is required to ensure a positive transition into a new home. Ty is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.
