About Rosie

Rosie is an approximately 2 year old, 44 lb sweet and spunky terrier mix. She is initially shy but warms up quickly. She feels more comfortable with women than with men but once she knows she can trust you she's loving and affectionate. Rosie is insecure so she will need someone who can lead her. She is extremely smart and learns very quickly so training her should be a breeze. Since it seems like she has had very little guidance in her life, it's important for her to go to a home that can invest in training and continue to build on the foundation we have created. She has done well with our other large dogs at the rescue with slow introductions, and we think she'd make an awesome playmate for another balanced pup. She definitely has a lot of energy and will need an outlet, mental and physical. She hasn't been around children with us but we think she'd do well with respectful children. She could also do well with dog-savvy cats and slow introductions. Rosie loves to run around in the yard and do her zoomies but will need structured walks as well. She walks well on leash with a training tool and is potty and crate trained. Rosie needs time in her crate as it calms her mind down and it is essential for her in order to succeed in a home. Rosie is very endearing and a perfect size. A home that understands the importance of structure and guidance, and who is willing to invest the time and resources it will take to set her up for success, will be best for her.
