About Luka

To potentially adopt Luka, please submit an application (found on our website azsmalldog.org) to [email protected] Luka is a shy and quirky 5 year old Pomeranian/ Long Haired Chihuahua mix looking for his forever home. He weighs about 13 pounds and is full grown. Luka will need a patient home willing to go at his pace and respect his boundaries. He is very food motivated and his people should have treats on hand if they need him to do something and to help with training! Luka has done well with men and women but would do best in a home with no young children. He is great with dogs of all sizes and wouldn't mind a slightly energetic canine companion. Luka is a smart boy that is house broken, kennel trained and rides well in the car when kenneled. He is not fond of being picked up or being groomed. Luka has previously been sedated to be groomed but we recommend contacting the girls at A Hairy Situation Grooming to help get him all cleaned up when needed. He can have fear aggression towards leashes but once you build trust and have a bond with him he will be ready to go on adventures! Luka enjoys exploring and loves to laze around the house. He would do best in a home with a securely fenced back yard. He is a very good boy that just has a couple quirks that can easily be worked with in an understanding home. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee is $260 and includes 30 days of complementary pet insurance and a free vet visit.
