About Boudreaux

Oh, oh...Boudreaux...Say his name slowly with a bit of drawl. It will give you an accurate impression of just how sweet and easygoing this 10-year-old really is. A Rattie mix who weighs a snuggle-worthy 17 lbs., Boudreaux is your go-to guy for a road trip, long walk, cuddle on the couch, or sitting by the fire outside. As long as he has his family nearby, he is a very content and loyal companion. He gets along great with the three human teenagers in his foster home and respects his bossy canine foster sisters when they tell him they need some space. Boudreaux came to New Rattitude without having received much vet care in his former life. He was whimpering and pacing constantly due to some badly neglected teeth. After a dental cleaning and some tooth extractions, he has become a completely new dog with a tail that never stops wagging. Boudreaux does great on a leash until he sees another dog, and then he starts to bark and pull in order to go say hello. He's taking daily walks with his foster family members to work on his leash manners. Back at home, Boudreaux loves to wander and explore his fenced backyard and soak up the sun on the patio. When he is inside, he happily cuddles up on a blanket by himself, by one of his family members, or even at the foot of the bed occasionally at night. Boudreaux is house-trained and will bark or come up and scratch when he needs to go outside. He's currently working hard at sitting and waiting for his twice daily meals, as well as not begging or putting his paws up on the side of the cabinet or kitchen chair when others are eating. (But he can hardly be blamed for wanting to try out that new mouth of his!)
