About Lizzie

Adoption Fee: $300
Pomeranian / Chihuahua
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

Meet pretty Lizzie! She is a 4-5 year old Pomeranian Chihuahua mix who weighs 15 pounds. Lizzie has a sad history. Her first owner passed away and she was re-homed to her second owner, who also recently passed away. That's a lot of change in her relatively young life, but she has a sweet personality and adjusts to new situations quickly. Lizzie is playful and full of energy and very loving. She loves a good sqeaky toy or rope toy to play with. She will undoubtedly want to play and cuddle with her new family very shortly after being adopted. She bonds to her human very fast and will be a loyal and loving companion! Lizzie gets along with other dogs but may growl and show her teeth if a dog crowds her. She also did this with her foster dad when he first met her and tried to pick her up without warning. It was when she first came to us, we are sure part of that was confusion and fear of the unknown. Now that she knows him he can pick this friendly girl up anytime with no problem. A fenced in yard would be great for her to run and play, but so far she does not seem to like exploring and playing outside too much, although she may when she is more comfortable in her home. She walks on a leash well and seems to enjoy it. She has not been cat or kid tested. Lizzie would be best as an only dog but could live with other dogs as long as they are gentle when meeting her. We recommend a meet and greet with any pets prior to adoption to make sure they get along. Lizzie is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. She is absolutely adorable and will make a great new family member! Submit an adoption application to meet her!
