About Olive

Olive is ready for her forever home! This leggy blue beauty is estimated to be 2-3 years old and is a friendly girl that loves people, both men and woman alike. She is great with children but due to her size (very tall at 38 inches!) she would easily knock smaller ones over. She's a leaner, a lap sitter and once she gets to know you, will follow you everywhere. Olive was picked up as a stray and spent some time in a shelter where she was a real favorite with the staff. Because of her stray history, Olive will REQUIRE a PHYSICAL FENCE in her new home. Olive spent two weeks in a temporary foster home with a senior boxer and did well with him, although she was much too large a playmate for him. We have been unable to achieve a successful introduction with the two Danes in her current foster home so we feel that it's best to place her as an ONLY DOG. Someone has spent some time training this girl. She will sit and shake, she knows down, bed and No commands. She has decent recall, and although a bit rusty, she's had leash training as well. I really like this girls personality! Olive is a sharp, confident girl that would make an excellent companion for a confident, EXPERIENCED Dane owner. Olive is crate and kennel trained, housebroken and behaves well in the house. She must inspect every corner of her new environment, but is not destructive and there has been no thievery. Olive is spayed, UTD on all vaccines and preventatives. She is currently being fostered in SPARTANBURG SC. You must be willing to travel to pick her up, as we do not ship our dogs.
