About Toddy

**PLEASE READ TODDY'S BIO THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING.** Introducing Toddy! This little nugget is a 3-4 year old male ChiWeenie (Chihuahua/Doxy mix) who is approximately 8lbs. Toddy's owner was going through some difficult times in her life and sadly had to give him up. He is a shy and nervous little boy when he first meets you, but will warm up when you show him patience, love, and the kindness he deserves. He is not food motivated so he needs an owner that is ok with knowing that he takes and needs that extra time to feel safe. Toddy seems to be potty trained, but we never guarantee with a rescue dog. We want Toddy in a calm and quiet environment in an adult home only since he is a bit of a nervous boy with sudden movements. Unfortunately he cannot go into a home with children. He loves his walks and needs an owner that will be able to take him on a couple fun walks every day. Toddy also loves outdoors so a home with a well secure yard is a plus, or he can be an apartment/condo dog that has a safe and secure balcony. We have noticed that Toddy does not like other small dogs. He seems to be ok with bigger dogs, but we would prefer him to be the one and only in the household. Toddy is a pup that has been through a lot and just needs that understanding, warm, and secure home that will let him have the time to acclimate and get used to his new surroundings. Once this sweet boy feels that safety and love he needs, he then sticks like glue to you and is your little shadow, so we are only looking for a home where the owners are around most of the day or work from home. He cannot be a dog that is left for hours.
