About Poppy

Meet Poppy. She's looking for her forever home! Four months ago, this little girl, a Border Collie Mix about 6 months old at the time, found refuge under the house next door to ours. At the time, my husband and I assumed she came with the tenants that had recently rented that home. We were wrong. It turned out she was a stray, extremely shy and afraid, and we watched her wander between construction sites on our very busy street searching for food. We started leaving food out for her, and eventually befriended her. Very long story short�'�|she is now spade, vaccinated and on routine flea, tick and heart worm prevention. Recently, we introduced her to our 4 pups, all females, and found her to be playful with our 5-yr. old, social - yet cautious - with our 9-yr. old siblings, and obedient with our 11-yr. old alpha. It was impressive! I have not had her around children at this point. We would love to keep her�'�|but enough is enough! We can't keep falling in love with our fosters. I pray that we will find her a good home -- ideally, with a companion pup and a safe space for her to run and play outdoors. She's a sweet girl full of 1-yr. old puppy energy.
