About Blue

Blue is a gracefully aging eleven-year-old boy, still active but so excited to give you cuddles for the rest of his golden years and would love to be your new best friend! The ultimate companion dog, Blue loves snuggles and scratches, is very loyal, and is happiest when nestled next to his favorite person- could that be you? He doesn't need much exercise, a daily quarantine walk around the block is more than enough, or food, as he only needs a small number of calories per day, and doesn't bite, dig, or drool. Blue is also low maintenance, not needing much grooming to keep him looking handsome year-round. He is happiest with people and is vocal about how much he loves you with a tendency to yip. Blue is not comfortable in a crate and is still working on pottying outside consistently at night, but he is accustomed to using a doggy door and Chihuahuas as a breed are incredibly intelligent and respond well to positive reinforcement training, so would do best with someone who can give him structure. He is excited to join a home with adults or older teens and has done well with other fur babies before. A slightly nervous boy, Blue avoids the threatening breed stereotype entirely, but may need some extra time a love to get used to you and your home.
