COURTESY LISTING: JaMo (MoJo)/ A1638322: Scheduled For Euthanasia !!! NEEDS RESCUE BY 5/26/2020 !!! ACTHUNG!!! Attention all fans of cute and furry German Shepherds, OC Animal Cares smart and handsome friend JaMo (AKA MoJo) has been placed on the 'naughty list' for some pretty questionable circumstances :( JaMo's nickname is MoJo, because his charm and skills should bring good fortune to the savvy german shepherd owner that gives him a home... Sadly, two failed attempts by people to add our buddy MoJo as their FUREVER family member have caused him to get returned and placed up for euthanasia - So he could definitely use his own good luck right about now to find a foster/adopter or rescue before 5/26/2020 when he's schelued to make the final walk to the 'scary room'. JaMo originally came into the shelter in 7/2019 after being owner surrendered, his initial owner was coming back from a night time walk to their apartment complex and another resident walking down the hallway either startled JaMo or caused him to be protective of his owner and caused a 'very minor 2 puncture bite which required no sutures' (according to the responding officers log). Since JaMo was well behaved, incredibly smart, and ridiculously cute, the shelter executives were more than comfortable giving JaMo a chance to find a proper home. And in September 2019 it looked like he found it, when a younger gentleman adopted JaMo! However, just a few months after adopting JaMo his new dad had to move out of state for work purposes. And rather than bring his new 4 legged son JaMo with him, he left him with his mother who had to tether him to their backyard (UGH, seriously?!?!?) :| If that wasn't bad enough for poor JaMo, in February he was surrendered by the mother after one of her relatives arrived to the house unannounced and JaMo acted defensively and tore the mans underwear and pants... So a dog is scheduled for euthanasia for being a typical german shepherd and ripping a pair of Levi's and some Hanes?!?!? Welcome to 2020 at good ol' OCAC :| Friends, Fans, and Followers, we need to get JaMo his MoJo back ASAP!!! He only has a little over a week to find a TRUE German Shepherd savvy owner to redeem his ill handed fate at the shelter. This is not the only german shepherd that has been placed for euthanasia at OC Animal Care for tearing clothes and if we're not going to overthrow this radical judgement at our county shelter, we need to at least spare the lives of those being misunderstood and inappropriately deemed fit for euthanasia! He only has until Tuesday 5-26-2020 to find an adopter/foster or rescue before he faces euthanasia :O It only takes one person in the right situation and environment to help give JaMo his MoJo back and spare him from euthanasia to enjoy his life with a new family. Could that be you?!?!? JaMo (AKA MoJo) #A1638322 Comments: At Risk -previous Bite/protective Status: RESQ-BHV Intake Type: OWNER SUR Kennel: 122 Sex: Neutered Male Age: 2Y Weight: 70.2 Lbs Breed: Germ Shepherd Color: Black And Tan Intake Date: 02/14/2020 Review Date: 05/26/2020 Jurisdiction: SANTA ANA To Be Destroyed If Not Rescued By End Of Day 5/26/2020 JaMo needs to be reminded that there are responsible and caring people in this world, he has been at the shelter too many times and for far too long. He's in need of a willing adopter/foster, or a rescue commitment by a 501c3 non-profit rescue by 5/26/2020 or will be euthanized. Because he was involved in a bite in 2019, and an attempted bite to an 'intruder' (in his mind), he is not available for public adoption. Our team at OC Shelter Pets is committed to helping Mr. MoJo find a live outcome and a place to call home! #SaveMeSunday #GotMoJo If you STARE please SHARE, and if you CARE please offer to FOSTER or ADOPT MoJo - his life may just depend on it!
