About Harriet (8 yr 15 lb)

Harriet came from a VERY rough past. She clearly was not treated well and did not receive veterinary care. She has recovered from almost all of her ailments but has a couple that are chronic. She has dry eye which requires daily drops. She also has an inner ear issue which affects her balance. You have to gain her trust, so at first it's a rocky ride. But I just acted like I knew what I was doing and I was in charge and Harriet quickly started following my lead. Only 8 days into foster, Harriet now follows me around and most of the time loves to be petted and played with. Sometimes Harriet just wants to be left alone and she'll signal this by falling down on her side and basically daring you to touch her. LOL We've figured each other out and we're getting along fine now. So Harriet is looking for that very special someone who will take the time to figure her out and work around her issues. She's quite a happy, spunky gal when she feels safe. Harriet is fostered in the Poconos. She is not suitable for children or people who are nervous/easily stressed.
