About Percy (15 lb) updated

Not suitable for seniors or apartment/condo living. He sheds and he chews. Despite his looks, he is not a border collie. That's to help some of you self-eliminate as potential adopters. Now for the rest of you: Percy is a sweet and gentle mutt who may be a combination of Pug (curled tail) and something else but we have no idea what his parents were. He's really a wonderful pooch. He's good with other dogs and people. He loves toys, playing, and cuddling. We are seeking to place him in a home with children age 9+, a fenced yard (not invisible fencing) and another small playful dog. No cats. Percy is recovering from double knee surgery so the muscle on his back legs and hips will take some time to build back up again. He's still running on three legs but the vet said this will diminish with time and exercise. He was born with his knees in the wrong place, so had to have orthopedic surgeries to fix that. The knees work fine now. It's just the muscle mass that needs rebuilding through slow walking so he will go on all 4 paws instead of running and just hopping on 3 legs. Fostered in the Poconos.
