About Finnegan

Lab / Basset Hound
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Meet Finnegan, a Bassadore-Lab bassett mix is an appoximately 3 year old weighing in at 54 pounds. About Finnegan: he was originally dumped in a rural area with a sibling. His family's situation has changed and he is looking for a new home. His legs are shorter than his head is long. He looks like a straight up yellow lab but with really short legs. He is a lover. He gets along with most dogs but not infirm dogs, meaning not old dogs, especially little old dogs. His best friend has been a border collie mix; they can play all day and then some. He does best with dogs of his same energy, has done well at dog parks. He can be particular about his dogmates- and truthfully would be really happy with children- probably 8 and older. He loves a boy with a skateboard and leash who wants his own dog pal. Unknown about cats. For the first several weeks he may have separation anxiety. Once he knows he has a loving home- he will no longer whine. He loves his people, loves to play. Is not destructive, but if left bored, watch your thro pillows. He likes nothing better then to curl up with his people. He is not particularly gentle when given snacks. He does not know where your finer ends and the snack begins. He is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, and neutered. His ideal family will have a good secure fenced yard, be active, jog, run, bike ride- and really he'd love being the only dog so he can hog all of your attention. He really doesn't want to be shared.
