About Bindi

Adoption Fee: $350
Australian Cattle Dog
Age: Young Puppy
Sex: Female

Meet Bindi, an Australian Cattledog pup who was born in December 2019. She is between 30ish pounds at the moment and should be within breed standard when she stops growing. Bindi is not appropriate for a first time dog nor is she a good candidate for kids. Her preferred adopter has owned sassy Cattledogs before. She is smart, sassy, and absolutely a dog to be managed. This isn't an easy going dog but a dog who needs someone who knows how to keep this type of dog out of trouble. Bindi has learned her basics in rescue: come and sit. She is working on lie down & stay. She is also mostly house trained. She is crate trained and goes to her crate on command. She will also guard her crate from other dogs. Bindi is good with men and women. She will throw a temper tantrum from time to time, so needs an adopter savvy enough to manage that. Bindi is good with medium and large dogs after a proper greeting. She is not a dog park dog. She can be defensive at first meeting. She is forward and nippy, and could become a bully if not managed. She is playful for hours on end if her dog pals don't mind playing rough. Any dog siblings must be able to put this little spitfire in her place. Bindi is good with dog savvy cats. The cat must be able to manage a bossy dog. Bindi is a fetcher and will become a ball addict. Bindi is pretty good on leash and is good in the car, whether in a crate or on a lap. Bindi is 100% Cattledog, meaning she will need someone who knows how to manage this breed to make her a great dog rather than a real mess. If you are a pushover or coddle your dogs, this is not your dog. Bindi is very smart. She will want her person to engage her in activities that will challenge her brain. She will definitely need a job. She is very sweet and loves people. She is fearless and curious about everything. Bindi is spayed, microchipped, and he is up to date on vaccinations. She is available for a meeting and adoption in SoCal. We do not ship our dogs. A home visit and vet reference are required.
