About Cocoa & Jade

Adoption fee covers both cats. They are bonded and we do not wish to separate them. Both cats were forced upon us by a family member who no longer wanted to care for them, but we simply cannot afford their care on top of our own animals. These cats came to us with various skin conditions (Jade has recovered from scabies and Cocoa from ringworm) and the worst flea infestations I have ever seen in my life. We have worked hard to get them back to health as best as we can. COCOA: Very friendly black female. She is shy at first due to a history of abuse and neglect. She is quick to warm up to you and loves to be near people. Loves to be pet and purrs very loudly! JADE: Timid gray and white female. She much more evidently displays the traits of an abused cat. Sudden/fast movements will make her run and hide, as with loud noises. She will hide a LOT at first but will slowly begin to come out of her shell when she realizes you mean her no harm. She does not like to be reached for or grabbed but as she learns to trust you she will allow very slow petting. Jade should not be around young children or if you have a home with young children she should be given ample places to hide in the quiet so she does not get overwhelmed. Jade is around five months old and Cocoa is around 8. Cocoa is distrustful of other cats at first but will get used to them, Jade is accepting of other cats. They are both wonderful animals who deserve a loving home.
