About Big Papa

Hello! We found Big Papa after he had been dumped in an orchard a few months ago. He's an older guy...approx 8-10. He is one of sweetest dogs we have rescued in a long time. Although he is older, he has a lot of personality and I believe a lot life left. He does have some rather large tumors that are fatty deposits but they arent growing and dont bother him at all. Because of his age, we feel its best to just leave them alone. He still gets excited when we come home after work and he definitely still has a skip in his step. Hes pretty mellow, and his hearing is on point and will alert you if someone is walking close to the house. He has a deep bark that he will let off a couple times to show hes there which I can appreciate. He can go on short walks but does tire out so we consider him very low maintenance. We think he is the most adorable boy. He is very affectionate and sweet...absolutely loves to cuddle! He is crate trained and drives great in a car although you will have to lift him to get in the car. If you are looking for an older dog thats low maintenance and you have a bed he can sleep on, let us know! Take a chance on the older guys! I promise you wont regret it!
