About Henry

Henry is currently being fostered in Tampa, FL (Hillsborough County). This sweet pup is a lab/retriever mix, between one and two years old. He enjoys relaxing in the shade, playing with his blue ball, and receiving lots of belly rubs. Henry is house trained and walks well on a leash. He gets along with his foster's two female dogs and is already learning a lot from them. Henry responds well to treats and positive reinforcement, and he shares his toys and food. Henry's energy-level is average, and he would do well in a house with no other dogs or with another well-balanced dog to show him the ropes. He will need a house with a fence as he loves relaxing outside. Henry will probably be shy at first because he was left in a shelter by himself. He will need an understanding family that is willing to give him time and space to decompress and feel comfortable in his new home, especially with another dog. Henry was neutered after leaving the shelter, and he is up to date on vaccines. Henry is heartworm positive, and we are looking for a forever family that would be willing to foster him through his heartworm treatment and then adopt him.
