About Bailey

Adoption Fee: $150
Oriental / Siamese
Age: Kitten
Sex: Female

This is Bailey! Bailey is a beautiful tortoiseshell oriental shorthair mix girl. She is about 8 months old as at the date of posting (May 10th). Bailey's ears, face and slim, elegant body shape clearly show her Siamese ancestry and heritage. Here is a link to Bailey's post and photo album on our Facebook page (you may need to copy and paste this into your browser if this site does not allow it to click through): https://www.facebook.com/153267718679780/posts/533783800628168/?d=nWhat better day to post this gorgeous girl than on Mother's Day? Despite being little more than a kitten herself, Bailey is mom to a gorgeous litter of kittens, nicknamed our Gray's Anatomy babies because their foster named them after characters in that TV show (the kittens will be posted soon). She is a wonderful mother to them. In the picture with them she looks so full of motherly love and so proud of her babies. Bailey was saved from the streets of Laredo, TX by the great ladies fighting to change the lives of so many homeless pets there, and from there she came to us. Bailey is loving, gentle, and sweet. She is a little slow to warm up to new people, and this is normal with new mothers who came into rescue recently and while pregnant, but once she trusts you she is full of love and cuddles. Bailey will come to her new home up to date on vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and combo tested negative. Adoption fee of $150 applies, representing a donation towards the cost of her veterinary care and food and transport to us. Bailey is being fostered by Gina near our HQ in New Braunfels, Texas. We are open to an out of state home: please see below. If you are willing to fly or drive to pick up your cat in person, your application has the same priority as a local home. Our closest airports are Austin and San Antonio and we can meet your flight at the airport for a modest donation towards fuel. Please note that in these difficult times, this is subject to change as our transport partners update us. Usually, our cats can travel with volunteer driver networks to a new home most places in the US for the price of a travel crate/carrier (yours to keep), a few basic supplies and a veterinarian's interstate health certificate. However, the interstate volunteer driver networks are currently suspended due to the coronavirus crisis. Our cats can fly with American Airlines for the cost of a ticket ($125 in a climate controlled cargo area) but they are currently allowing direct flights only (options are from Austin or San Antonio; as with accompanied flights, we will meet the flight for a modest donation for fuel costs). Kitties leave and arrive via the Cargo buildings at the closest airport reducing risk and exposure. Flying your pet cargo will not usually be given preference over a local home, so if you can come meet us at the airport or better still, drive to pick up, that works better! It is safer and less traumatic for the cat. The health certificate usually costs about $100. A kind veterinarian is giving the Interstate Health Certificate for the duration of the coronavirus crisis for a special reduced rate of $25. We don't transport to Florida or California due to the numbers of homeless Siamese already in those states. Please email us at [email protected] to request an application or to ask any questions. Please specify your location (city, state) when first contacting us.
