About Moose

Moose is a 2.5 year old Chihuahua mix looking for his forever humans. He weighs just over 10 pounds and is full grown. Moose is shy and needs some time to build a bond. Once that bond is made, he is very affectionate. He loves to take naps on your lap and nuzzle your neck. He also loves to get back massages and being petted. He has done well with women but may need some time to get used to any men in the house. He is also good with children who have had pets before and are familiar with animal care. Moose needs a patient home willing to go at his pace when trying to put on a leash and being picked up. He will need training in having a positive association with a leash and/or harness. Moose is house broken and kennel trained, though he may need reminders as he adjusts. He is highly motivated by treats and eager to please! Moose does have a heart condition that requires him to have regular vet visits and take medicine twice a day. While here with AZSDR, he also received a dental with a total of 2 extractions. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped. His adoption fee is $220 which includes a free vet visit and 30 days of complementary pet insurance.
