About Jafar

If you are looking for a calm, lower energy couch potato you really have to meet Jafar! He is so sweet! When you approach him with the leash he bows his head to allow you to leash him up. He walks nicely out of the kennel and doesn't react to the barking dogs. He is house trained, and knows the basic commands of 'sit' and 'shake'. He likes treats but is very gentle while taking them. If you throw a ball for him he will run after it and pick it up. But instead of bringing it back he will take it for a walk around the yard in slow motion. We allow him to pick his favorite ball to carry back to his kennel with him. He's very calm and polite. When Jafar was lost as a stray he wandered into a yard and played with the finder's grandchildren. He was so happy to be to enjoy an afternoon with little people. The finder mentioned that Jafar did not enjoy the company of the little dog in the home, however he has gone on walks with various other dogs at animal services and has interacted fine and seemed to enjoy being around them. Jafar is around 8 years old and weighs 61 pounds. He's very easy to handle and he likes to please. You really need to meet this precious boy!
