About Jeff *Foster to Adopt*

This dog is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $175 if picked up in TN, $225 plus transport fee for out of state adoptions. Jovial Jeff is a highly energetic Australian herding breed mix (best guess) who loves to play, and soaks up attention like a sponge! Jeff is just 1 year old, weighing 32 pounds and is full of so much zest for life! He would adore an active family who would take him out for adventures, and walks and hikes. Jeff is great with other dogs and will wrestle and chase with glee. He is good with cats too but will certainly want dog-savvy cats in his new family who will enjoy tussling with a playful pup. He is an athletic guy who would benefit from another dog to interact with in his new home. Jeff is crate trained and rides well in the car. He is working on all his basic obedience skills, and is ready for a family to show him the ropes. Jeff tells us he does require a fenced yard so he can run and play. He is smart as can be and has already learned to sit for a treat! He asks if we can find someone to teach him lay down and roll over, we have the perfect fit! Jeff does have a couple of special needs: When we got him he had been found with a gaping wound due to an embedded collar. Because of the scarring, he has to use a harness for walks. Additionally, Jeff is available for a foster-to-adopt because he has heartworms and needs to go through treatment (all medical costs will be covered by the rescue).
