Charming Charo, because she is truly a charming gal with a lot of soul. This 45 pound 2 year old bulldog x plotthound (no pit) loves to be close to people, whether riding in the car or a golfcart (ask for pics!) She would be an ideal companion to a retired couple or a family with older kids and she would especially like a resident dog pal. Her foster mom writes, 'We call Charo 'the perfect dog'. Great personality, sociable, friendly, always wants to be pet.' Charo is housetrained, spayed and well mannered. Since she came from a neglectful household, Charo is light heartworm positive but she has no symptoms and her levels are too low for 'fast kill' treatment. She is on 'slow kill' treatment which now involves two Heartguard heartworm prevention pills twice a monthly. A recheck has shown her levels decreasing already. No activity change is needed (she can still play with tennis balls!) and another re test in 6 months should show she is heartworm negative. Apply on www.crisisdogsnc.org Ask for lots more pics.
