About Nueve

Nueve is a shy just under 2 year old Chihuahua/Terrier mix looking for his forever home. He weighs 15 pounds and is full grown. Nueve has traveled down a long, hard road to make it to this point. First he lost the only home he had ever known, then we found out he had a heart murmur, and required surgery to fix it. But he has heroically battled through every challenge he has faced, and is finally ready to put away his cape and settle down with his forever family. Nueve is a very unique dog who is packed with personality, and needs a family just as special as he is. Once he knows you, he is affectionate and sweet - he loves sleeping in bed curled up right against his person. However, after everything he has been through it can take him quite a while to fully warm up to new people. He needs a family that is patient, understanding, and loving enough to give him all the time and space he needs. He has never been around children, but may be ok with older, dog savvy teenagers. Nueve gets along with dogs of all sizes, but only if they are respectful and don't wake him up when he's trying to nap. He is not so fond of felines, and requires a cat-free home. Nueve loves to race around outside and must have a securely fenced in yard where he can get out his zoomies. He also walks well on leash and would love a family that enjoys going for frequent walks. Being a super hero takes a lot of work and Nueve deserves to find his sidekicks in life! He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, vet checked and microchipped.
