About Lady Jane

Lady Jane is a master cuddler and doesn't know a stranger. She is so sweet with every human she meets. It is quite possible she spent her 2 years of life outside. She was really a blank slate when she came to us... learning everything for the first time. She is getting pretty good in a crate and is learning the crate can be a good thing. Lady use to be a bull in a china shop when she first started walking on a leash but has improved greatly and only continues to get better at it. She has also learned 'sit' and her recall is getting really good. She is picking up on potty training but is still a work in progress. Lady Jane is a wonderful, 36 pound hound that seems to be fine with other dogs her size and bigger but might not feel the same about little dogs. We will continue to see how she does with dogs as she gets more social with them. She has also been knows to chase cats while on walks so she's probably not a good fit for a house with them. We suspect she would do great with kids... but might knock over the little ones when she gets excited. She gets the zoomies when she goes outside to run in the yard but plops down nicely for a nap once inside. She will chew a perfectly good pair of bamboo socks but leave the regular old cotton ones alone so she will need lots of good chew toys and bones to keep her occupied. She loves big and will be your loyal friend. All she needs is a little training and structure and she is sure to bring you years of happiness.
