About Margo

Chesapeake Bay Retriever / Pit Bull
Age: Puppy
Sex: Female

*** ADOPTION PENDING *** Marvelous Margo is a loyal, fun-loving pup who will melt your heart with her soulful puppy eyes and adorable button ears. Sweet Margo is a 6 months old and 30 pound Patterdale terrier/Pitbull mix with a gorgeous honey brown coat and liquid amber eyes. She is a very curious girl with lots of puppy energy! She isn't a big girl but still growing a little so we expect Margo will be between 35-45 pounds. What is most endearing about Margo is that she absolutely LOVES everyone she meets (characteristically pit- they LOVE fun, life and their people). It is no wonder then that Margo loves to play with the two dogs she is fostering with, as well as the tween/teen children in her foster home. As a puppy, Margo is in the process of learning how to leash walk, but she is so intelligent and eager to please, that she is making great progress! She is crate trained, has learned sit and is working on her house training skills with her foster parents. They have shared that Margo is a fast-learner and very responsive and she loves to follow them wherever they go. In addition to learning basic commands, Margo is also able to amuse herself, and quickly taught herself to play fetch! Margo is an active dog breed mix which means she will be best suited to a home that can provide plenty of physical and mental stimulation. As an adult, she will likely be agile and athletic, and an incredibly loyal companion or family dog. Because she is a puppy, Margo will thrive in a dog-savvy home with humans who know what it takes to raise an energetic pup, and who will provide the stimulation and structure that Margo requires. If that adopter is you, you will be rewarded with a life-long buddy, love-bug, protector and friend. You and Margo will be lucky to have found each other. Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here:(https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). Please read about the adoption process (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. All fields on the application must be completed in order for our volunteers to process it (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/) Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care, so please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested prior to submitting. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health and safety of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering, and microchipping before transporting our dogs. Then, we provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources, so if you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
