About Cheesecake

Cheesecake is the sweetest girl who LOVES everyone! She had a rough start to life. She came to us after emergency c-section with a ruptured mammary tumor that luckily healed on it's own. On top of all of that she was also heartworm positive. But Cheesecake is a fighter and is now a happy healthy girl after going through heartworm treatment. She has the energy level of a heeler but with short legs! While she can be active she will also lay at your feet while you are working on something. She gets along with other dogs that are not too high energy. She can be protective of her person so she would do best as the only dog or in a home with other dogs that are low energy with the appropriate introduction She gets along with all people but she is a jumper so would do best with no small children (we're working on this!). Her favorite activity is chasing the grass hoppers! She is potty trained and does well with free roam of the house. She is great in the car and actually really enjoys car rides. Cheesecake is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio. The adoption fee is $150.00. An adoption application, home visit and adoption contract are all required. All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites. Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
