Biography Please read! If you are interested in me after reading about me, please visit my site, http://www.breederadoptions.org and follow the directions. The majority of the dogs we rescue, mostly breeder dogs, have lived their entire lives in less than ideal conditions so will need to be house and leash trained. Most have never lived in house, walked on a leash, had a treat or sat in a lap. For many of them, their feet have never touched the ground after living for years on wire until they arrive at our main facility where they are evaluated, groomed and given vet care. However, they will learn with time, love, patience and most of all, commitment. You must have an ample supply of all of these to reap the rewards of watching these very special dogs become your wonderful companion. Hi, my name is Eleanor and I am a super sweet, 9 year old Yorkie/Schnauzer who weighs 17 pounds and I was brought to an AZ Shelter severely neglected by my previous owner. I am in a wonderful foster home and doing great. I need stay at home parents who want a loyal companion, couch buddy and walking partner. No large dogs, please and no cats. I have had a very tough life so please have lots of time and love to give me. I love my consistent, daily routine with my retired foster mom so a similar situation is a requirement in my new home. Her foster mom says, 'Eleanor has the sweetest, calmest disposition. She is very low maintenance and she always wants to do the right thing. She walks beautifully on a leash and LOVES to take walks. Breakfast and dinner are exciting times for her, and she LOVES to eat! I've never heard her bark. During the day I often find her in the bedroom sleeping in her little bed. She has no interest in toys or play, but she does enjoy an occasional bully stick. In the evening she snuggles beside me to watch tv. She likes watching David Muir on ABC World News.' My foster mom says I am perfect in every way and will make the best companion for someone with a low key lifestyle. Eleanor does have luxating patellas (common in yorkies) on both back legs but she loves her daily walk and no surgery is necessary for her to enjoy life. Please a home without a lot of stairs is a must even though she gets around just fine. If you want a love bug ask for me, Eleanor, at www.breederadoptions.org 041020-01
