Gunther is an awesome dog! He is a beautiful weimaraner with lots of energy and enjoys his long walks and runs. He loves to be scratched and petted. He is crate and house trained and sleeps through the night. It breaks our hearts that we have to say good bye to this guy who has brought so much love to our family. However, he has developed a food aggression and nipped as a form of a 'warning shot' on 3 occassions to our kids over the last 6 months. 1.5 years ago, our daughter found him eating her homemade slime and when she reached into his mouth to get it out, he bit her on the finger, which required a bandaid. Please do contact us so we can discuss with you further-this was a very difficult decision based on how loving and fun he is the majority of the time. We have considered how we can address this with training. But, in the end, we have come to the very difficult decision the best path forward for us and Gunther is to let someone else enjoy him, and work with him on his food aggression.
